Review: Sinful Rewards by Cynthia Sax
I struggled with this book as I took an instant dislike to the main character Bree, which means she was obviously well written for me to have such an immediate reaction to her. I found her whiny and greedy and lacking in common sense. It obviously impacted on my enjoyment of the story though.
I don’t mind short stories where I feel they end at an appropriate point, I’ve read some great series this last year that have been short books, but which tied up the story to that end point. This book seemed to just finish at the end of a chapter, rather than at the end of the story, again something I dislike.
I don’t think this was the book for me, so feel it’s unfair to give it a rating. It would be harsh to offer a low rating when it’s just a case of the book not being the right fit for the reviewer. There’s a moody billionaire and a hot and mysterious biker, some voyeurism and I suspect a journey of discovery for Bree, which means it’s a book that will appeal to a lot of readers.
